Wind Out Of My Sails

So, remember I was really pissed at some of the staff at Job #1? We had a meeting last Thursday, and I arrived all ready (with permission from the boss) to blast said staff with scathing remarks about their idiocy and unsuitableness (is that even a word?) for the job. I had my whole speech worked out in my head.....I had spent HOURS working out the wording to make them feel about as small and insignificant as possible without actually crossing the professional line and calling them morons to their faces. I made Mr. Barefoot bring me home ginger and honey so that I could make ginger/honey tea (an old standby for healing voices. Mine disappeared with this latest cold). I was PREPARED. I was STOKED.

And only one of the staff that I was angry at showed up.

And none of the newest staff showed up.

As angry as I still am about the whole thing, I am not cruel enough to jump one lone gal when she was not the only one who transgressed. It just wasn't worth it to go through the whole thing for one staff who is an idiot and half a dozen staff that are wonderful.

Well, at least acceptable.

So I didn't say much of anything.

What a bummer....

Oh my, that really had to suck. I hope you get a chance to speak your mind to these people! Or maybe they could feel the wrath of Barefoot coming and didn't want to face it. :)
By the way, I really admire you for standing up for all of your clients, not just the ones who are easiest to deal with.

your story makes me wonder how much those other people even care about their job if they can't even bother to attend meetings!
