And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Big Day of Not A Lot

This morning, I figured out why the A/C at work wasn't working.... five minutes before I left for the day.

I took Little Sprout to the park, and pushed her on the swing for two hours. Two hours.

I then went to my folks' place and weeded flower beds. This will be the year that my plants move from their house to mine. I swear.

I came home and weeded here.

So why do I feel like I didn't accomplish much?

Have you considered Preen? I know lots of folks don't like using the extra chemicals in the garden, but Preen really works to prevent weed seeds from germinating. After several years of fall and spring applications, I have a tenth of the weeds of earlier years - so I can enjoy more and pull less!

If you have a growing area for the Sprouts, then you want to be able to plant seeds there, but in the rest of the garden.... it's a thought.

I think you feel like you didn't accomplish much because you seem to have a tendency to think about things you think you SHOULD have done, rather than focusing on all things that you DID do. I know. I have the same problem :-)

Webb- I have heard wonderful things about Preen, and will definitely continue to think about it. Right now I am really trying to keep a chemical free yard, though, so that will probably be my "last resort" plan.

Lisa- Yeah, just what every woman wants...Arnold arms!

Anony- Ouch! Hit the nail right on the hammer with that one...

Fr. Peter- Wait! Are you and Anony ganging up on me?! *giggle*

Ok, I have to join in here. You are JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER!!! You can list off 20 things that you did during a day but if you had planned on getting 21 things done, well, darn it, you didn't do a thing all day.

Love you
Mom
