Curses! Foiled Again

My boss actually made both a private and a public apology. In writing.

Dammit.

Here I got all excited that I was going to have her fire me and then I could prove to Mr. Barefoot that I really don't have to work so much for us to be happy. I was all prepared for unemployment (well, less employment), and I have been disappointed yet again.

Hmmm... I was wondering what would happen. You know, maybe your standing up to her and calling her out on her behavior will change things yet.

Hopefully things will change for the better, Barefoot... but think about it in a positive manner: The Powers That Be may be holding things together for you because it is going to aid you guys in getting the house you want. A good and probable chance... 2 incomes are better than one when it comes to getting a mortgage in many cases.

It'll get better and at least she apologized. (((hugs)))

Ah, the best laid plans of mice and (barefoot wo)men!

I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you wanted ... Darn her and her apologies, too! ;). It just figures, doesn't it?

The good news is that you can still work on debt reduction, and maybe in a few months, you can leave amicably, knowing that by making her aware that she was behaving inappropriately you helped to make the environment a little less caustic for the next person.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't! But, I'm glad you spoke out, maybe just maybe she'll change her ways a bit. But I'm not holding my breath on that!

It must have taken some courage to say and write what she did Barefoot. She must have a lot of respect for you, your work and for your actions in dealing with her in the way you did.

At least she knows just where she stands now and exactly what will be your response if she goes back to her old ways.

Well done, like they say Barefoot, cream always rises to the top!

*snort & chuckle* Well, I AM glad to hear she pulled her head out far enough to write you an apology anyway. I hope that standing up for yourself the way you did keeps her in her place from now on so that you CAN enjoy your job!
