My brother, who I truly love, just called me for the second time today trying to figure out what to buy our parents for x-mas. He hates the season, mainly because of the gift-giving aspects.
The funniest part is that we are getting together with my folks TOMORROW for the traditional gift exchange.
There is nothing like waiting for the last minute, is there.
I gotta give him credit for caring enough to want to get them something they will like, and I think it is adorable. But I just can't help but laugh at him as he runs around the store looking for gifts while I prompt him.
What a guy.

I can relate to your brother's feelings about this "season." We just went out this afternoon to get gifts for my husband's family, most of whom we will be seeing tomorrow evening and Tuesday afternoon. I'm hoping, next year, to either make gifts or find appropriate items from local vendors/artisans, and I'm really kicking myself for allowing the season to sneak up on me like it did ;). I'm not usually a "wait until the last minute" kind of gifter.
Don't know what happened this year ... big plans, not enough time, I guess :).
This morning at 6 I heard a truck in the snow-filled driveway, and for a moment I thought it was the plow guy. But no, it was The Hermit, who isn't supposed to be driving, heading out to Wal Mart to get a few more things for the kids. Gotta love it.
Have a merry Christmas! :)
