And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Hello? Is anyone out there?

Is anyone out there? Did one of the skeletons in my closet jump out and scare you away? Was it something I said? No one has commented for TWO WHOLE DAYS! Do you know what that can do to a gal with low self esteem?

I miss you all.....

Today, after working a long night (one of my guys was having a hard time and was up ALL NIGHT asking me questions), I came home hoping to hop online and see what everyone has been up to. I get comfy by my 'puter, and what do I find? My monitor has died! I kind of knew it was coming, since it has been fuzzing out and making funny noises for a while, but today was NOT the day for the stinking thing to quit on me.

So I went out shopping for a new monitor. Did you know you can't even find an old school monitor anymore? Now they are all flat screen, HD compatible, freaky looking things.

What is HD, anyway? How bad is it that I don't know? Or really care?

Everything on the screen looks goofy to me.

Is it really bad that my 'puter is so old that I still had the old style monitor? I suppose it is. When I think about it, this 'puter is about 5 yrs old, and that puts it firmly in the realm of dinosaurs as far as technology is concerned.

Hey, it works, right?

Ah, well....

sister, (so now you know its me)

did you buy a new monitor? I have one in my closet at mom and dads not to mention I have one at my current residence. You are more than welcome to have either one. They both worked when were put away, so should be okay now.

and yes its sad that you don't know what hd is...you'll have to stop by my house and watch HD on our 52in tv ;) haha

*waves* Sorry. I'm here. Just busy, busy, busy.

Glad to hear you got a new monitor, but I AM sorry to hear your old one died. Our old computer was starting to go (and it was like 6 years old) last fall, and we were waiting & waiting, but it got so hard to even get it to boot up without shutting itself back down. Finally we got our new one back in March, because nobody (and I do mean NOBODY) would work with a computer as old as ours was. They all said that the circuitry was so old it was obsolete & there was nothing anybody could do to update it. *sigh* Freaking computers. LOL

Anyway. Yep. You've still got fans & friends out here.

Ah, that's better. Now I feel loved.

Bro-

Dang it! I just went out and bought a new monitor. I should have thought to call you and ask first. I suppose I can blame sleep deprivation, right?

Kati-

Oh, thank you for letting me know I am not alone! *bowing and kissing your (hopefully clean) toes.

I know everyone is busy, and I have noticed that more often than not if I am not paying attention I THINK I have posted comments to others' blog, and then it seems to disappear into the cyber-void. I will have to pay closer attention to what I am doing, I guess.

It is kind of cool to have a new monitor, and I know I will need a new 'puter sooner or later (please, please let it be later), but now I am kicking myself for blowing a child support payment on a monitor when my bro had some hiding away. I need to get a list of all the junk he has floating around, so when something of mine breaks I know who to ask for a loan. Hehe.

You know, the new monitors, for all their weird appearance are actually better. They use less electricity and they're better on your eyes ;). HD - stands for "high definition", and while I can tell you the meaning, I can't tell you what that means. It comes from only half listening to my engineer-geek husband ;).

Sorry I didn't comment on any of your recent posts. I have been visiting, but I don't always comment. Sometimes I just read and enjoy :). I'll try to be more conscientious about letting you know I was here ;).

Nice million dollar list, by the way. My list has gotten much smaller these days. Mostly, I'd just like to pay off my house, because I really like my life and there's very little I'd want to change - even for a million dollars.

Oh, I'm sorry-I always feel that way too over at my ol' blog.

I read at work and I am waaaaay behind, LOL!

However, when the coast is clear-yours is an "always" read!
