And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

I Figured It Out

Remember how I was worried about what was going to go wrong, since seed starting and the flowers were doing so well inside?

Well, I figured it out.

I am going to be gone on vacation for the first 2.5 weeks of the real growing season here! This means I will not be here to baby my plants. I will not be here to weed, to water, to make sure they have every little thing they need to grow up into the tough, beautiful, tasty plants I know they can be.

Panic is my new constant companion....

Wow! A 2 1/2 weeK Vacation! I would not know what to do with that much time all at once. Our vacations involve work.

It is nice to tell by your writing that you are in a happy place. It just shows in your writing.

Happy Easter and I hope someone can take care of your garden for you. The Farmers Almanac says our spring and summer will be humid and wet. I can take the rain, but the humidity just kills my spirit.

Yes, the joy of working at the same place FOREVER is that you end up with lots of vacation time! Unfortunately, about 5 days of our vacation will be spent on the road, since we are driving.

Heat and humidity will be good for my plants, but you are right: it sucks the life out of humans. It will be good for the weeds, too. I might have to take vacation after our vacation to get the garden back in order! ;)

I hope you have a great trip! Five days on the road would kill me at my age. It's good that you are young and can endure lots of travel. LOL
