It Started With A Little Sneeze

Soon, it was here a sneeze / there a sneeze / everywhere a sneeze, sneeze. The back of my throat started itching. Not just a little bit, but the kind of itch where you would gladly shove a screwdriver down your throat if it would give you one single moment of relief. Now, for the crowning glory, my sinuses feel like they are full of concrete block.

Allergy season is upon us.

Fortunately, some frantic searching in the medicine cabinet resulted in an almost full package of OTC allergy meds. Un-fortunately, they don't last long. So while I had a blissful hour of only blowing my nose every 10 minutes instead of every 2 minutes (and even fell asleep for a bit), the meds have now worn off and I must wait patiently for another dose to kick in.

I am not a naturally patient person.

I'm so sorry! I would offer you every screwdriver I own if it would help.

But here is something to try. Get yourself some local honey and eat some everyday or a couple of times a day. But it must be LOCAL honey. Made from what blooms in your area, it's kind of like a homeopathic treatment of building your resistance to what is in the air and bugging you!

I will now take off my daisy headband and dress made of wheat and come back down to Earth!

I hope you are feeling better soon. I just finished all that hay fever stuff and was just miserable. It is the price I pay for loving to be outdoors.
