And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

The Good Day

Yesterday was one of those rare days when everything goes perfectly.

Really.

I woke at 9am (Little Sprout is still "off" her reg schedule from Daylight Savings) to a call from Sunny. I had planned to go over there, but had to cancel. The Good Tree Guy was coming to take down our tree in front, and I had to be here.

I got up, showered, changed into REAL clothes (not my usual sweats), and got started on cleaning up the house. I just started in the front entry and worked my way through the house, taking each section of the house as I came to it.

It was wonderful! I felt productive, the Sprouts were entertained by watching out the front window as the workers took the tree down, and I was seeing results.

My folks took the Sprouts out to lunch, giving me a chance to (gasp) dump a lot of the toys from Little Sprout's toybox. The TV never got turned on. I listened to music, dancing with the mop and broom. It was fun!

Mr. Barefoot didn't come home after work (out with the band), so supper was simple....hot ham and cheese sandwiches and chicken noodle soup. The Sprouts loved it.

After cleaning most of the day, I had time to sit in my nice clean living room and work on my cross stitch project for a bit. I even played a couple songs on Guitar Hero with Big Sprout. Little Sprout had to play on her toy guitar, though.

Little Sprout went to bed with no trouble, and I went to bed early. As I was laying in bed, waiting for the sandman, I couldn't help but think that it would be nice if every day were like that. Busy without being frantic, calm without being lazy. It was good.

Of course, going to bed early has it's down side as well. I ended up waking up at 4am this morning. Oh, well. I can have some quiet time with the computer, right?

See? This is just what a lot of us were talking about. Change happens when the time is right!

Saturday wasn't the right day for you, that's all. Obviously, Monday was. May you have a few more "Mondays" interspersed with your "Saturdays". :)

Do you ever feel vaguely suspicious when the day goes well?

RT-
Now that is proof that I am a little different from most folks. Wanting more Mondays?! *snicker*

I get it, though
