A Whole Lotta Lovin' Goin' On

That Damn Cat must have figured out that I am the one who buys her food and treats. Either that or I smell like raw meat. She has been snuggling with me every time I sit down for the last few days.

Don't get me wrong, I like it. It has been so long since I had a cat to snuggle with, and I have missed it terribly. I am just noticing.

Of course, That Damn Cat sheds like crazy. I had forgotten how funky cat hair up the nose felt. Blech. It is kind of gross to pet her and then see the cat hair flying through the air. Little Sprout stole the cat brush and lost it, so I am going to have to put that on my shopping list for the next time I am in town.

That Damn Cat likes to sit on my lap while I am crocheting, which is pretty durn funny. She lays across the yarn, and then when I tug on it to try and pull a little more out of the skein she goes completely bonkers. She starts pawing at the yarn, jumping around and biting at it.

Thank goodness she is declawed, or I would be in pieces right about now.

I wish I was SO allergic to cats! I love to snuggle and play with them. My MIL has one of those naked cats that doesn't seem to bother me much, but now I have dogs who don't like cats!

Awwww, I'm totally jealous! Last time I tried to adopt a cat, it didn't work because of hubby's allergies..... *sigh* He was still a smoker at that point, and the day I finally found a new home for my little guy (sweetest little black boy kitten named Cosmo!), I told the hubby that the day he kicks over from lung cancer from smoking, I'm getting myself a kitten! *chuckle* That didn't go over very well, but I was peeved as hell over having to give up my cat because it caused the hubby to smoke, and yet he had NO problem (at that point) continuing to smoke those nasty cigs. He's since quit smoking (4 years now!!), so I guess I'll have to figure on not getting a kitten at all (since it's less likely now that the hubby will keel over from lung cancer or other such diseases from long-term smoking).

Enjoy your lovey kitty, and I'm sending her a couple of snuggles!

I am really glad none of us have pet allergies here at Barefoot Manor. I think pets are a big part of making a home, and feel bad for those that can't have them cuz of allergies.

Of course, y'all are getting out of cleaning litter boxes, so maybe I shouldn't feel too bad for you. :)

Cat love...is there no sweeter thing? My cross eyed fat flame point Siamese makes the greatest lap kitty. And Whiter Biter, who will not set foot in the new house, loves me up when I'm on the computer here in the cabin.
