And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

*cough, hack, sniffle*

Hi. *sniff* I am sick. *cough, hack*

I got a cold, and it isn't much fun. *shiver, snuffle* It's the "go through a box of tissue an hour and fill up every trash can in the house with nasty, snotty tissue" kind of sick. The "my nose is so red I could play Rudolph in the local theater" kind of cold. *cough, hack*

I think my eyeballs are gonna pop out of my head any minute now *snuffle, BLOW, groan*

You would think, with all the advances in Modern Medicine, that there would be something to fix this. Seriously. *snuffle*
I am so nice. *cough, cough* I gave up the bed so that Mr. Barefoot could get some sleep before heading off to work tomorrow. *sniff, BLOW, sniff* I can't sleep anyway. Every time I lay down, my sinuses threaten to blow the front of my face right off. *whimper, ACHOO, ugh*
Mr. Barefoot even set up the vaporizer for me in hopes that it would ease some of the worst of it. *snuffle, BLOW* If it worked, I really don't wanna know what this cold would be like without it. *sniff*
I hope Little Sprout is nice to me tomorrow. *cough* Well, I suppose it is really later today. *snuffle*
I hope y'all have a great day....*cough, cough, BLOW, whimper* Really, I do.
Just don't gloat about it, k? Thanks. *sniff*

Sorry that you are sick with the grunge. Get well soon Barefoot! Eat lots of chiken noodle soup...
Vicks on you neck with a wool scarf wrapped around your neck. You may not smell so great but it works.

How times have changed DD use to be called mentally challenged? My sister worked with DD's. She has a big heart too.

I hope you feel better soon.
(My remedy is forcing fluids--hot tea, chicken noodle soup, whatever you can get into yourself, and lots of it. Drown that cold!)

I find when I feel the same way that tucking myself up in bed and feeling sorry for myself always helps.

I hope you feel much better soon.

I'm going to second Peter's suggestion for crawling into bed, but instead of simply feeling bad for yourself, I suggest getting a couple of old favorite novels (even better if you've loved them since childhood) and equally "comforting" movies, and veg till that cold goes away. And, also seconding the suggestions for hot, steamy liquids to keep you hydrated.

Hope you're feeling better by now, though. (((HUGS)))
