And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Did you know?

That massive amounts of caffeine and nicotine do NOT replace sleep in the opinion of the human body?

That despite your best efforts, Sprouts will be determined to get bad diaper rash whether or not you are stocked up on butt cream?

That potatoes straight out of the garden really DO taste better?

That no matter how many times you tell them, boys between the ages of birth and 40 will not remember anything you tell them....especially if it is important?

That Fraggle Rock videos are the best babysitters?

Yes on the potatoes. And about boys- there's no age limit on selective forgetfulness!

About the shade: I see on my local craigslist for people giving the wood for free if the person cuts it down. I don't know if they are successful in finding someone or not, but it might be worth a try.

Amazing, that I can attest to each and every one of those!!! Well okay, I don't have potatoes from my own garden, and I don't actually own any fraggle rock videos...but the rest, absolutely!!

OMG! I'm picturing you slumped on the coach, surrounded by empty coffee cups and overflowing ashtrays, smeared in butt cream and potato peelings, watching Fraggle Rock in an endless loop, muttering to hubby "I already told you that, I already told you that..." while the Sprouts run wild!!

Are you okay yet?!?

LOL! Lisa~
If you replaced the coffe cups with Mt. Dew bottles, you would have it totally dead on! Just wait 'till I post about my weekend...

Deb~ I remember you talking about how good 'taters were, and that is what inspired me to grow them this year. The digging was like a treasure hunt (lots of fun!), and the flavor is amazing! I think I noticed that fresh 'taters are more filling, too, but that might have been all in my head.

Jen~ my trees are all tied up in the power lines or up against the house....I don't know if I would trust any old Joe to come and cut them down. I wish it could be that easy, though!

Cat~ glad to know I am not the only one who's noticed these things!
