Mr. Barefoot laid on the guilt, though, and I found myself heading out with the rest of them when it was time to go. I have to say, it was a blast.
Of course Big Sprout and Wolfy headed out for the rides right away. I figured Little Sprout would still be too young for the rides, but might enjoy the animals. After some serious consideration, we decided to try Little Sprout on one of the rides, just to see how she would handle it. She wanted nothing to do with it until the really nice gal running the ride allowed Big Sprout to join her (even though Big Sprout was too big for the ride).
Poor Big Sprout! She was crammed into that little car so tight there was barely any room for Little Sprout next to her. Here she is showing Little Sprout all the cool lights and buttons they have on the inside of the car.
When the ride started, Little Sprout looked for one second like she was going to freak out......and then she started laughing.....
And laughing. She has this way of giggling where it seems she is going to push every last little bit of breath right out of her body. It was hilarious. She just kept screaming "Wheeeeeeeee!!!!!" and then letting out these huge belly laughs. Big Sprout was a little less thrilled, but got so much praise for being an awesome big sister that she tried to hide her boredom a little. If you click this picture, you can really see Little Sprout laughing wildly and Big Sprout's look of utter boredom.
Then, while Wolfy and Big Sprout went on some big kid rides, we let Little Sprout go on a ride all by herself. She held on for dear life, but giggled and squealed her way through that one, too. I don't think I have laughed that much in ages. It was so fun to see her discovering something new.
This is Wolfy and Big Sprout getting ready to go on the "Sizzler.
See the fake smile on Big Sprout there? It turned into shouts of glee the minute that the ride started moving. She really loved this one, and it really moved fast!
Little Sprout got a chance to play the duck game and the fishing game. She didn't really care about the prizes, she wanted to keep the ducks and the fish she caught! I think her favorite part was just getting her hands wet.
THEN I got my chance to take her to the 4-H barns. Oh, did she love the goats!
This one wanted a taste of her shoe, and Little Sprout was more than happy to oblige if she was allowed to pet it. She also got to see the bunnies, poultry, and sheep. Unfortunately, right after I took this picture, the batteries in my camera died.
We ended up staying until about 9pm. Both kids were all worn out by then, and ready for bed. Even though I still say an evening spent at home alone would have been nice, I am glad I didn't miss watching my Sprouts have so much fun.

Fantastic! Glad you decided to go with them (although I would have opted for the evening at home ALONE too!)
Sending good vibes for the house closing today! And congratulation on joining the rest of us who are slaves to our homes! You're going to love it!
*grin* You're right about the facial expressions in that second pic. LS looks like she's having a fabulous time, and BS looks like she'd liked to be ANYWHERE else, just about. *wink*
Glad y'all had such a good time, and that Little Sprout wound up enjoying the rides and that Big Sprout got to go on some ride more HER speed. *grin*
Best of luck with the house-closing today! I look forward to seeing pics of y'all all moved in to your new place!
