And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Maybe not so different?

I don't know if all of you have noticed, but I am continually amazed at how different Little Sprout is from Big Sprout at the same age.

Today, for the first time, Little Sprout did something exactly like Big Sprout used to. She fell asleep....SITTING UP IN HER HIGHCHAIR.

It was so cute. She had been playing in the pool over at Grandpa's all morning and even tried to drown herself by flipping the little floaty thingy that she sits in. Big Sprout rescued her, and then they played around the yard and house for the rest of the day. I picked them up after working my last day at job#3, and Dad warned me that they would be tired. Little Sprout was really hungry (kept trying to climb into her highchair by herself and screaming), so I set her up with a hot dog and some milk and turned on a movie. When I went to switch movies after the first (20 min) one was over, I turned to look at her and she was all slumped to the side and snoring.

I should have taken a pic, but my mommy-heart took over and I just took her to her room to lay down before I thought of it.

It brought up so many memories of how Big Sprout would do the same thing after a hard day's play. Sometimes she would fall asleep between one bite of food and the next (that was back when I was willing to spoon feed every meal to my baby). Ah, the joys of motherhood!

When Not Quite Grown was little, she would fall asleep regularly at the table with a mouth full of food! She'd tuck it in her cheek like a chipmunk and I'd have to dig it out before carrying her to bed. She never woke up when I fished around in her mouth!!
