Doesn't That Just Figure

My family and I rarely fly. We just don't have reason to. Mr. Barefoot had planned to go to CA in May to visit his father, and was going to fly.

Guess what? He got tickets through Frontier, one of the airlines that has filed bankruptcy.

They are saying that they will be honoring the tickets already sold, and that they will continue with "business as usual". I don't know if I believe them, but the Mr. is determined to see his dad.

All I have to say is if they get him to CA, they had darn well better get him back.

Isn't it just sad about the state of all the airlines these days? My in-laws are flying to Louisiana next week and both have said it will be the last time they fly. Too much hassle and they have decided they are satisfied with either driving or using the train.

I'm dealing with it too. My employer contracted with ATA and I had to get special clearance to buy tickets through another carrier. I chose SW because they have already had their grounding compliance checks!!

Ugh, I am supposed to be visiting my Father in Michigan in early June and I am concerned about my tickets too. I haven't been home in three years and will be just livid if I don't make it there. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!
