And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

A Kick in the Teeth, I Say....

I admit it, I have been S-L-O-W in getting around to reading everyone's blogs. I also admit that I haven't been commenting as much. The truth is I have been really stressed and pretty thoroughly depressed. Since I don't want to bring everyone down I have been keeping my mouth shut much more than is natural for me. What can I say, I am thoughtful like that.

But really, to close your blog to the public and not invite me to the party?! I am hurt. You know who you are, too. There I was, all excited to check out what has been happening in your life, knowing that you of all people would understand the stress and misery that house-hunting with depression causes, and I can't come visit you. No goodbye, no song and dance about how you have some crazy stalker troll type person dogging you on your blog or you have decided to post naked pictures of yourself and don't want your mom to find it, just a door slammed in my face.

hmph.

Double hmph.

Sniff.

Man, I know what you mean! I have had a couple of blogs either go private on me, or disappear completely! No warning, no goodbyes. It's like a friend who will no longer talk to you on the playground at recess! *Sigh*

I think I know who you mean and I miss her too, but there was probably a good reason.

I also haven't been commenting much lately ( or posting much either) but I have still been visiting and wish you well with your moving plans.

I'll email you really quickly with her email addy. She had some flub-ups that required a work-tech-guy going over her computer & straightening things out, and as she posts a lot of things on her blog that aren't compatible with her line of work, she's rather worried that the tech guy will pass this information on to those who could fire her. Anyway. Email with her addy coming your way. Just email her that you want an invite & she'll give it to ya, I'm sure.

I know exactly who you mean. I was bummed, too, but I figured there was a reason. I hope things go better for her, because, as I recall, her job was pretty rigid, and she wasn't all that happy with it. There seemed to be a lot of fear involved. Doesn't sound like a great place to be. Hopefully, she'll be able to rectify that soon.

Crazy stalker Troll. Wow! Sounds pretty creepy. I don't have one of those, but I do have a lurker whose pretty shady. She knows my email address, my phone number, and where I live. She's even been to my house. Luckily, I don't think she's too crazy, although she's not very nice :).

I had to comment on her blog before she closed it to get the invite. I'll e-mail her and remind her about you guys.. You know she's just sidetracked is all.. :)

Thanks, all, for being supportive while I vent.

I know the person in question probably had a very good reason for making her blog private. I also know that she is very busy right now, and probably just forgot me or didn't have my email or something simple like that.

This is just another example of my letting depression make a mountain out of a molehill. :)

Wendy-
Um, your freaky-deeky lurker type person makes me nervous...make sure you post regularly, or else I might end up getting a rescue squad together to make sure you're alright....

OH, BF, you are one of my favorite bloggy friends!!! I had an emergency with work (long story and I was bummed when several people I thought 'visited me' didn't respond, LOL!!!) I think I am going to take it off of private soon (I managed the emergency rather well, I think, and I don't think he saw the blog)

Email me for an invite: ginastjoe at aol dot com. You too Willow or anyone else I didn't get to before I had to make it private (Thanks, Kati for explaining it!!)

I have felt left out before too and it does hurt, but please know I adore you and I feel like I have so much in common with you (depression thing for one) and would not want to lose you as a friend.

Oh, Gina! I now see it was my bad for not visiting for 4 days. That was a bad weekend for me, and I just didn't get out the way I should have.

Thank you so much for the invite! :)
