And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

I Dub Thee....

Well, I guess all the votes are in for a name for DH. You folks weren't all that helpful, you know. I ended up with a tie. So, I am exercising my right as blog writer to just name the guy. Since it is (at least in this forum) all about me, from this sentence on DH will be known as Mr. Barefoot. I kind of like the way it makes him sound like an appendage I just happen to have. That is way better than him actually having a life of his own and (gods forbid) opinions. Nope, he is just a growth I have that happens to help pay the bills. Hehe.

In other news, I am now officially three decades old. Funny, the last 24 hours don't seem much different from the 254,040 hours that came before that. You would think that after such a momentous day, I would feel different, or have a new insight to life, or suddenly be blonde and skinny. Something. Nope, not a thing changed. I did manage to get some crocheting done, though. I finished three snoods, and am almost done with a "hook wallet" (no, it's not a wallet for hookers, you keep your crochet hooks in it). I suppose that is the big change I was waiting for! I don't think I have actually finished a crochet project before. I will post pics soon, cuz I am durned proud of myself.

Have a great day, all. I am off to force Little Sprout into a nap so I can get some rest.

Oh, happy birthday!! 30 is starting to sound far away to me, LOL (I turned 37 a few months ago). I remember I had a lot of fun and people though I was 24...aaahhh, to be so young again!

Hope you had a blessed day!

Happy birthday Barefoot Gardener! :) When I was 30 I was six months pregnant for the first time. I think I looked a lot better then. :(

Happy Birthday to you!! My Youngest shares your birthday! She turned 2 today.

Isn't it funny how turning 30 ended up like just another day? Nothing like 18 or 21 or even 25. 30 was just... 30.
