And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Busy Bee

Whew! I thought I was going to have loads of time to get things done once Mr. Barefoot's dad and nephew got here for their visit. I was wrong. So incredibly wrong.

I'm having a blast visiting, but I'm starting to get a little edgy. There is so much to do, and that little voice in my head keeps saying "hurry-hurry-hurry".

Today I am going to finally clean up my garden beds in hopes that I can still squeeze in a growing season this year. I'm actually not that terribly late with my garden. It's kind of traditional in my part of the state to put the garden in on Memorial Day weekend. Usually you can get stuff in safely a week or two before, but Memorial Day weekend is the tradition.

So, though I would love to write a long post about something incredibly interesting, I have to go. Rain is coming at some point today, and I wanna get as much done as possible.

*sigh* Wish me luck!!!

Nothing says "hope in tomorrow" like putting in a garden. Hope you get lots done and then some beneficial rain.

Boy, do I know how you feel, time, tide and seed planting waits for no one, if only it were possible to hold off the seasons for a week or so, just like you can reschedule a meeting.

The weather has been awful in the UK Barefoot, very hot weather early on in the year with no rain for ages, then non-stop rain and cold, most frustrating for a closet farmer... See how this one is 'managing' (or not managing) at http://stopthesmallholding.blogspot.co.uk/

You are not alone.....
