Saturday's Bedtime Story

Last Saturday, Loop and Mr. P came over for a visit. It was getting late, and way past time to put the Sprouts to bed. I started shooing them up the stairs when Little Sprout approached Mr. P with my copy of _All About Vegetables_ by Ortho. She climbed up on his lap and asked for a bedtime story.

I sat there, giggling till tears welled up in my eyes, as they "read" through this particular bedtime story. Mr. P would point at pics of different veggies, and ask Little Sprout what each one was. Surprisingly, she knew most of the names! I didn't realise that she knew that many veggies by sight. She kept looking up at Mr. P with her big blue eyes and asking him to grow "dat one" for her in his garden. Being the good guy that he is, he agreed to grow at least one of just about everything over at his place.

Gosh, I love that my Sprouts know the joys of fresh veggies.....
