The Shishes

My Mom bought Little Sprout two DVDs that are all pictures of tropical fish with soothing sounds in the background.

You would think that watching such a silly thing would be boring, but that is because you don't know my Little Sprout. She runs to the TV screen, jumping up and down, and tries to pet the "shishes". She screams and giggles with glee with each new fish that swims on screen. She waves "buh-bye" to the fish that swim off screen. She runs from the TV to Mr. Barefoot or I, excited and yelling about all the pretty "shishes". She does the "happy dance" in the middle of the living room.

It is so funny.
I think the fish movies are as big of a hit as any Elmo, Curious George, or Dora video she has ever seen.

The only problem is that now Mr. Barefoot wants to get the aquarium going...

That is adorable! Shishes...awh...
This brings back so many memories of my boys and fish.

We had an acquarium in our oldest son's room. It worked as a night light, and put humidity back in the room. My sons are 7 1/2 years apart. Little brother wanted to pet the fishes? He did...and an Angel fish the size of your hand was dead as fast as you could say fishes. He felt so bad for wanting to pet the fish. That is my story. We had a fish service, but could not flush him down the septic, so we burried him on my walking trail along with the other family critters.

Cool! I could probably spend hours watching something like that...

I have 2 goldfish in one tank and 3 guppies in another--not many fish, but I still love watching them. I can see where Little Sprout would love watching the "shishes" on TV!

Pam-
I am going to use that story to discourage the fish tank, for sure!

Thomas & Deb-
You can pick it up at Wally World...there are two fish theme ones that we found by their display of soothing music (kind of where they have the funky disco lights and fountains and stuff). One is called Tropical Fish (our favorite) and the other is Aquarium. They ran us around $13 each.

Ruthie-
We had fish once upon a time, but one little fish killed all the others. I don't know that I am looking forward to dealing with all that again...

Oh No! Please don't use my story for the sprouts really need an acquirium.
