And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

Odds, Ends, and a Blast

First, the Odds....

Yeah, Little Sprout is a little odd. She has been having so much fun hiding in the Christmas Tree box. It's so funny how she giggles and squeals while she plays in the box.

Goofball.

And here are the Ends. Everyone in Barefoot Manor got haircuts this past weekend, and this is my hair. I am going to donate it to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that makes human hair wigs for sick children. It was scary seeing that long braid laid on the table next to a ruler and knowing that it used to be attached to my head, but my new haircut is much more flattering and easy to care for and it is nice to know that some youngster is going to have a nice wig made from my hair.

Last, but definitely not least, we have the Blast...

Yesterday, I got my Holiday Gift from my parents a little early. We (meaning Mr. Barefoot, his mom, my folks and I) went to the Trans~Siberian Orchestra concert at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Oh. My. Golly.

It was BEAUTIFUL. It was AMAZING.

Mr. Barefoot even got to shake Paul O'Neill's hand! OMG!

I didn't cry through the whole thing this time. I was pretty proud. I had a blast, seriously.

Thanks Mom...

Have you ever cut your hair for Locks of Love before? Your hair is so beautiful--thanks for doing that.

Thanks, Ruthie.

No, this is my first time donating my hair. I am thinking about growing it out to donate again already, though. I will enjoy the simplicity of short(er) hair for a while first, though...
