A Grey Day

It has been another grey day here in Barefoot Land. I am kicking myself because I never did get my seeds started. I got distracted by the Great House Hunt and all the stress that has gone with it.

I suppose I should be doing that right now instead of typing this, huh?

The thing is, there just isn't that much to say. My days have become just an endless stream of sameness, and nothing is really happening.

I could write about the rising gas prices, but everyone is doing that. I could write about how the price of just about anything is rising, since it seems that everything is becoming more and more expensive. There are others out there who do it much better than I ever could, so I will leave it to them.

The Sprouts are being sprouts, which is what they do best. There is not much to tell, though, since Little Sprout is either teething or has some allergies and Big Sprout is being very quiet lately.

We are still involved in The Great House Hunt, but things have stalled out a bit. We put an offer in on one house, but it is bank owned so we have to wait for the bank to decide if they want to accept our offer (noone knows how long that may take). Besides, I don't want to "jinx" anything by talking about it too much.

Really, there isn't that much to say....

Yeah, I think everyone has kinda hit a slow spot and stalled out. I won't rub it in that I have be planting my tomato seedlings in the raised beds and then quickly slapping a row cover over them! Going to storm tonight, but I got 30 plants in yesterday.

You'll et through this part and on the more exciting stuff soon!

Hi Barefoot,
These gray days are bugging me too. If all my seedlings take off, I will have some to share with you. I'll keep you posted and maybe we can arrange a drop-off in Zumbrota or some other convenient spot. Send me an e-mail (rjknits at msn dot com) if you think this might work

I'm planning to cheat this year, and except for the direct-sowed seeds, I will be buying seedling from a local nursery. Some seeds I just don't grow well, and I do better with buying plants in those instances. Anything I can direct sow, though, usually does really well.
