And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

AAARRRrrrrgggghhhh!

Little Sprout is on my last nerve. Seriously.

Mr. Barefoot has this weird prejudice against food on the floor, probably due to his passion for walking around the apartment barefoot and the unpleasant sensation that cold mashed potatoes creates when smashed under your foot.

Unfortunately for me, Little Sprout has a weird prejudice about food on her high chair tray. This results in quite a bit of - you guessed it - food on the floor.

This usually leaves me in the job of food-picker-upper, which (strangely enough) I happen to have a weird prejudice against.

Is it okay if I just don't feed her until she is old enough to know not to throw her food on the floor?

Yeah, I think that should be okay...

If you don't Barefoot, she will soon get the message!

I rather figured that if Tay started throwing food on the floor, than she must not have been hungry, and I'd remove her from her highchair till she decided that she was truly hungry enough to eat what was given her again. One common sense tip that I've seen a lot of people mention (of course, WELL after the point when Tay was pulling this stunt) is to just not give them as much. A couple Tbsp of that, a couple Tbsp of this, and if they are hungry enough, they'll ask for more. Otherwise, it just gets tossed. Literally. *wink*

Best of luck in convincing LS that "clean-up the floor" is NOT mama's favorite game to play with her.
