And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran

The Good, The Bad, and...Well, you know the rest....

First, the good. I have a new name, given by Lisa's Stud-Muffin. I am now (drum roll, please)

DAME NAMES ALOT

Is that cool, or what?

On to the bad and the ugly, because that's what it is all about, right?

I am sick. Head cold, nothing serious. Little Sprout has been throwing up since around 6 pm. This makes it very serious. I am sick, and as whiny as it sounds, I don't want to spend the rest of the night cleaning up puke. Mr. Barefoot has to go to work in the am, though, so I am on duty for the duration.

I hope we both get over this crud really soon, or there may be issues. Poor Little Sprout, never being really sick before, doesn't know what to do. She knows she doesn't feel good, but she seems so confused and frightened by the whole experience. It is bringing back memories of when Big Sprout was young and used to get sick. We would sleep on towels on the living room floor with a bucket next to us. Not good for a restful night's sleep, but it made her feel better.

I am thinking that I am too old to do that again, so Little Sprout has been told that this is the last time she is allowed to be ill until she is old enough to handle it by herself.

I sure hope she listens....

*snort* I'm sorry. I hope you feel better quickly, both you AND little Sprout. But, I'm kinda chuckling because in the previous post you were only worried about teaching LS to use the potty and make herself some food, NOW you've got the added aggrivation of illness. It never really does improve, does it?!?!?!

I do truly hope that you and Little Sprout feel better quickly, and that Big Sprout ceases the endless questioning and nagging and gets her room cleaned.

I suppose this should teach me not to piss and moan, huh? Here it is, 2 am, and I have been up with her for the last 3 hours while she fusses.

I love being a mommy. I love being a mommy. I love being a mommy.

You can call me Betty, or Bethany, or Beth ...Just don't call me late for dinner. said...

I been there... ( On the floor in the living room with a bucket and a sick kid.it's apparently the only way to fly especially if you don't actually own extra bed sheets) Jake was really confused by vomit. The next morning he said "I must be bad ... Bad stuff comes out of me."
How sad is that?

Get Well Soon, House of Barefoot!

Being a parent is a whole lot easier when things are going smoothly and everyone is well. Hope you all are feeling better today and not too sleepy.
